In Part I of this series, we covered some of the ways you can ramp up to a big announcement. The way to leverage market momentum is to execute a thoughtful post-launch plan designed to engage your audience. Widespread, consistent messaging is the key to increasing visibility long-term, not just after the immediate ‘pop’ of news. Here are just a few strategies to consider:

  1. Sharing your announcement in a blog post will allow you a to have a more in-depth conversation with your audience. Blog posts can also help build web authority and to further optimize your site, by intentionally placing keywords and tags into your post.

  2. Promote on LinkedIn. Share your news with professionals within the industry. This will spark new relationships, referrals, and even create a new space for you within your community. In the case of the hotel brand from Pt I, you may also be hiring simultaneously (two birds, one stone).

  3. Announce with video. Can your announcement be shared through an elegant, professional, and memorable video? The same piece of video content can be repurposed for your Instagram Reels, IGTV, Instagram Story video, or YouTube video, and will allow you to share your expansion to a larger audience. Partner up with a trusted cinematographer to create a marketing asset that celebrates your growth and has an evergreen nature (meaning, you can use it for many months after your news drops).

  4. Create an eye-catching FAQ infographic with more information about the service, product or opportunity for clients and partners. It’s likely that you’ll receive questions and inquiries about specifics. If two clients have the same question, odds are that there could be ten more with that same thought. It may be helpful to create a Q&A Instagram Highlight where you open up the floor to questions from your audience. This will allow your audience to provide feedback and ask open-ended questions about your expansion - which will offer you the opportunity to share more of your “why.”

  5. Launch an email marketing campaign for your community that inspires action. In our example about a hotel brand who has expanded their event space, invite your subscribers to come for a tour, or include a calendar of open and available booking dates for them to consider should a gathering be on the horizon. Your followers will really love the transparency and feeling of being included. We’ve got plenty more tips on email right here!
